We have been in business since 2007 and currently we are the largest defensive driving school in El Paso. We offer defensive driving classes for ticket dismissal and insurance purposes at the three Golden Corral’s (West, Northeast, and East). We pride ourselves on providing a great experience for our students and for our instructors.

Job Description

This is a part-time job. You will be expected to teach 2-4 classs every month depending on your availability and our need.

As a defensive driving instructor you will be responsible for teaching a 6 hour course approved by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Our company will provide you with the training and instructional materials to teach the class. Teaching the class will include lecture, discussions, newspaper articles, and videos. Each class consists of a total of three breaks: two 15 minute breaks and one 30 minute break.

Our classes will be held inside a restaurant in Lubbock. Our projected class size will range from 5 students to 25 students per class.

Schedule will change on a monthly basis, but you will have plenty of time and notice. Each schedule is made a month in advance. You are not required to teach a specific amount of days, or specific days, but should be have some of the following days and times available:

Wednesday from 3:30 – 10:15pm
Saturday from 7:30am – 2:15pm


This is 1099 work and you will be paid in cash the day you teach the class and pay ranges from $85 – $100 per class depending on your experience and ability. Additionally your meal at the restaurant is free ($15.00 value).

Ideally we are looking for someone that is bilingual and a flexible schedule with a background and passion for teaching.
